What is
satisfaction?
Going to
your favorite destination, buying things, eating whatever you wish, having an
adventurous or completely comfortable life.
What does it
take to have these things?
The answer
is simple – Having money.
How do we
earn money?
Okay, let’s
see parent’s money, family inheritance, pocket money, savings or getting a job.
‘Getting a
job’, these three words are complex than anyone can think. For some it can be
doing small chores and earning that money, for others it can be going into a
good company and working there for lifetime and for me, getting a job is summed
up in another 3 words, ‘Work for self’ or ‘Work on self’.
When you try
studying psychology out of interest, you tend to realize and explore many
factors which tell you about yourself and others. What I found out is that
there are basically 2 types of people:-
1)Hungry
2)Full
To your amazement when you go deep into these words both are
in real, opposite to what they mean.
You are full, when every morning is same for you. Reaching
office at 9,going back at 5,starting and ending your day in the same note. Not
that this is bad, but of course you are working for someone else’s growth. You
are working to earn 0.5% of the 100% profit; & good thing is that 0.5% is
always constant. You may be full for how long? 2 years, 4 years, 10 years. Then
what?
How do you choose to be full after that, will the little
hunger inside you start bugging you?
Let’s understand the people who are hungry.
You are hungry when your dreams are prioritized more than
your sleep. You are hungry when instability does not scare you. You are hungry
when more is always less for you. You are hungry when you know your age does
not determine your present and will not decide your future. To sum up, you are
hungry, when the only scary part for you is what if I am full???
You may have heard stories of our great grandfathers, or you
must have read history, the dauntless tales of our ancestors, how slavery was
common, how slaves were treated and tortured every single minute.
What is really the difference between slaves of past and present,
apart from the physical torture? Well the clear similarity I see is captivity
or in uncomplicated terms restriction to freedom in a non-offensive way. You
have to work minimum 10 hours. You have to stop your thinking capability and
play by the rules. Less social time, more mental exertion and most important of
all FEAR.
Fear of losing your job, fear of not earning money, fear of
what comes next. How can we call ourselves free, if we are not able to work as
we want, why can’t we create our own rules. If this is not slavery then what
is?
Fearing Fear is not slavery.
Avoiding Fear is slavery.
And the best examples of avoiding fear are people who are
full.
You earn experience by ups & downs, by working, by
hustling 24*7, by creating a brand and not following one. You only learn rules
by becoming a person who is full and you carry it with you on and on.
Never, never learn the rules, write the rules.
You ultimately have the decision to see yourself in your
boss’s boots or you have to be the boss from the beginning. You have to run the
day or the day will run you.
Good Day!
